A good carry knife and value

Nice slim design- easy to carry and not get in the way. Long, sharp blade. Came ready to go. Due to production standards, there is plenty of forward/backward movement with the blade locked. The lock still works, but not the same as old models. That being said, you get a lot of knife for the money!!

Buy if you want to take it to work!

This knife is for the person who wants to take it to work. It is heavy duty with an extremely safe - safety latch to keep the blade from folding back. Now, that said, I was expecting to receive a work ready knife with an easy to use safety which could be easily disengaged and the blade folded back. Excellent value; excellent quality; really hard closing mechanism to fold the blade back.

  • Near duplicate of the original version

I recently inherited from my deceased dad his constant everyday carry trapper lock blade. I have no idea when he bought it, but I remember it for most of my life (50+ years now). I have a bad history of misplacing knives, and I don't want to lose this one so I can pass it on to my son. So I bought 2 of the remakes - no, there is no pocket clip or one-handed opening hole or stud. But this is a great little knife to take care of opening letters, correspondence, cutting twine, and other common tasks. It rides well in the bottom of my pocket, and reminds me of my dad, sitting at his desk at home, opening bills, cutting boxes open, or outside when he was always building something and used the knife thousands of times without fail.

  • Old Timer knife

This style of knife has been a favorite of mine for over 30 year. I bought one like it when I started working in the oilfield. The handle of this knife fit right in the palm of your hand. It just feels right. The lock blade prevents it from closing on you when you are using it. It is a great knife.

Arrived on time. Nice feel to knife but not as nice as the old USA made ones. No backward movement of blade when locked.

  • Great knife, little stiff but that is ok

Used to have one of these knives 12 years ago and lost it. it was made in the USA. I know the new ones are made in China, I have looked locally for the Shrade brand but know luck. finally looked on line not expecting to find the 1940 knife,so I bought 2 in case I lost one of them

  • Great pocket knife

I like to have a pocket knife with me. I recently went to a show in an arena and didn't think about having a knife in my pocket. What I had was nothing special so I just threw it away. The was the replacement knife. I have had Schrade knifes in the past and really liked them so I purchased this one. It is very nice. I also wanted to make sure I got a locking blade, which this one does have.

  • Schrade pocket knife

Nice solid pocket knife with a large enough handle for a man. Most pocket knives usually have too small of handles for men with average to large hands to grip decently. This model fits the bill and is a good quality knife with locking blade.

  • Sad excuse for an old timer

On this knife the quality isn't the same as the old u.s. made knives. The linerlock doesn't work ,the over all appearance is nice but again the qualifying isn't there.

  • Knock off of original knife

My fault I didn’t check to see if was made in the USA. Didn’t replicate the knife. I am used to the original knives.
