    Gigabyte motherboard

    Have installed a Phenom II X4 980 CPU with 16 MEG of RAM. Board performs well; however, with Windows 10 (64) I had to update the BIOS to keep it from reporting a bad BIOS. Easytune (Gigabyte utility) reports the CPU temperature as 56c when 'idling'. I am running four fans and an oversize CPU cooler so this is probably an error. Sound is good, but only has one plug for a single set of speakers. Board layout is good - I especially like having four DIMM memory slots rather than just two. For the money, a really nice motherboard.

    BAD COMPANY - CRAP PRODUCT

    Motherboard usb ports failed after only 3 days of use. Only 2 ports (usb 3 port) work part of the time now and only in low speed. Company did not send backing plate for motherboard I/O and Company has not responded to emails. Board was packed very poorly and missing all the accessories and manual that were suppose to come with the motherboard from the factory. I am now forced, sense no reply from company, to scrap this board, loose my money, and have to spend more on a new and working motherboard. A working motherboard that this company does not seem to care to provide. Bottom line, looks like I got screwed by yet another worthless eBay seller, shame on me.

    Aging tech but gets the job done

    My son needed a replacement board as his older board had issues with USB. This board was the best at it’s price at the time, so I bought it. SATA ports are all in one spot which is a plus, unless you are using a long card in the PCIe x4 slot.

    Great MB for the money

    other than a bios bug requiring a boot kernel setting "iommu=soft"in linux, this motherboard works well with my AMD FX8370 system. USB works well using above boot option, Windows works well out of the box. Very good MB with lots of options for overclocking etc. With above option set, no problems in Linux so far on my dual boot system.
