Item was lost in transit. Sat at same USPS office for over 2 weeks. Sent vendor several emails but he remained silent. Hard to have faith in someone who does not respond. Nonetheless, he did provide refund once case was opened.

Silent running, fast with SSD drive installed, great little computer, can run latest OS. Why spend more?

Very stable since designed as a server. I have two of these units and I'm very happy with them. If I ever did have a problem or wanted to upgrade something, it's so easy to have just the small box to take in rather than a larger iMac with the screen and all. I love the extra USB ports on the back, five to start with, and when paired with an Apple Cinema display, you get two more. I have a scanner, a laser printer, an inkjet printer, a wireless mouse with radio receiver, a card reader, and a plug in usb keyboard. Add the use of usb drives now and then and that uses all the ports. So, this is a very practical computer. I really prefer it to the newer ones with fewer usb ports.

  • This System packs a serious punch!!

I bought a Late 2009 Apple Mac Mini, with 2.53 GHz, 4 GB ram, with El Capitan 10.11.5 . I will admit, I had My doubts, this mini computer system really surprised Me. These Mac Mini's are nothing to scoff at...Don't let the size fool You...These have got it where it counts. Lightning fast, whisper quiet,& real workhorses. This is everything a person could want in a compact,& heavy duty system. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get Their moneys worth.....Apple Mac Mini definitely delivers.

  • Great Download/File Server

I needed a simple machine to use as a file server, as well as handle my downloads. I originally was gifted a 2007 Mini, but I needed one that could run at least 10.8 Mountain Lion (the 07 Mini tops out at 10.7 Lion). I got this and replaced the boot drive with an SSD and installed a 2TB hybrid drive in place of the optical drive, and this thing is flying. It's great on keeping power costs down as well.

  • Fun for anyone that likes to tinker

I got this 2009 Mac mini because I wanted an inexpensive Mac that I could play around with. I upgraded the memory to 8gb and put a 2tb hdd in it. Then replaced the SuperDrive with an ssd. Now, thanks to a patch, OS X Catalina is on the ssd and Manjaro Linux is on the hdd. So far, everything works. Replacing the hdd that came with it was a major headache because the SATA connector wouldn’t cooperate with any drive other than the original. Surprisingly, I was able to secure it in place with some masking tape. Overall, this has been a fun project for a very reasonable price.

  • Use this with caution.

This was a very good unit for it's time. Still is a good unit for other things. With it's age and the old specs, it will be very limited with what it can do today. Mainly using this as a web access and media usage. I also went ahead and installed a patched version of Catalina. It works well. Just don't try to do video editing.
