    My experience playing European DVD and BluRay discs has been positive

    This is a refurbished, very clean, Samsung J5100 and remote that have been reprogrammed to accept DVDs from all regions and BluRay discs from Zones A,B and C. I have used it to show a 2010 Swiss-German Blu-Ray disc (BD Zone B) and a French (PAL 2) DVD on my U.S. Sony TV, using the supplied HDMI cable. It was packed in original packaging with the original manual and an instruction sheet explaining how to activate the Blu-Ray multi-zone feature. DVDs from other regions load automatically without any activation. It also has an adapter for 240-volt operation. I cannot speak for this unit operating in BD Zone C, as I have no such discs. It is a smallish unit, and the disc tray is rather flimsy-looking. I would have preferred an indicator light to show when it is powered up, but on the ...

    A good budget Blu-Ray player with good features. Be aware that there is no WiFi connectivity when considering this device.

    A solid Blu-Ray player for those on a budget. All key functions work well; the device starts up and loads discs extremely quickly and there is little lag time. Digital file compatibility is also very good - no issues with playing any major file types so far. My main criticism of this model is its lack of WiFi connectivity. The player needs a wired ethernet connection to access the internet, and this makes it unable to connect to the internet in certain rooms of my house. A wireless card would make the player much more adaptable and usable for online content. The disc drive can also be a bit noisy at times but the sound isn't really noticeable once a movie or audio are playing. Overall a respectable device.

    DVD player and all CD's

    Great item. Plays all DVD's and CD's. and all type of extras . Easy to install plug and play. One and only defect was it has no face light. You can't tell if it is on, or off. No lights at all on the face. shows every thing on the T>V Screen. It has a curved and can't place nothing on it. It Works great, and happy with it. I would have given it a top rating if it had one light on the face.

    BEST "bang for the buck" SMART BLURAY

    Due to a very recent surgery,I'm going make the narrative pretty short,but certainly very sweet. But since you've asked for my participation, I do wish to oblige........because....... For those of you that do not know, you can turn any older flat screen and even Much older box style TV,s into a smart Television that will provide most every APP ( Netflix, Vudu,Hulu,etc. and on and on and on ) for a very small price; plus you will be able to watch any dvd and bluray movie you desire. The beautiful part of THIS BLURAY PLAYER is,it weighs nearly nothing,it is super simple to hook-up, it comes with a "smart remote controller" ......that will make your TV smarter....so you may stay on the couch and just press a button to go back to your,cable or satellite, or whatever network channel ...

    Simple player* (not using the internet connected features)

    I wanted to upgrade from an old DVD player and this simple player fit the need. Haven't run a hardwired network connection to take advantage of the streaming features - and may do so in the future, but I'm not expecting much if I do (There is no WifI available). Would be nice to know if the unit is on (There is no standby light). I like that it's able to start right where I left off last time on a disk.
