The Samsung Galaxy S4 model SCH-I545 is a developer's smartphone specifically built for the Verizon Wireless network and based on the SPH-L720 model. It is also not necessary to root the phone to gain access to all its internal functions. This enables enthusiastic owners to avoid the problems normally present with a root without having to give up all the software that can only be run by a user willing to root the phone. The I545 is thus very popular with the root and mod community since it is easy to work with and can serve as an entry point into the smartphone modding community. Additionally, Samsung continues to support the phone after it has been modified, unlike with normal Samsung phones. The Samsung Galaxy S4 uses a Quad-core 1.9 GHz Krait 300 processor and a Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset, alongside an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S4 comes with 16GB of internal ROM storage, which can be expanded by microSD cards up to 64GB in size. Only 1GB of the 16GB is dedicated to the operating system, leaving most of the 16GB available for software. The dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac antenna is capable of serving as a mobile hotspot in addition to providing internet access to the phone. This enables it to broadcast its wireless connection to other cell phones, smart phones, tablets, and similar devices. The antenna uses UMTS technology and is compatible with the GSM, CDMA, HSPA, EVDO, and LTE cellular networks. The Samsung Galaxy S4 comes equipped with a v4.0 Bluetooth wireless connection that has A2DP, EDR, LE and aptX capabilities. The Galaxy S4 is powered by a removable 2600 mAh battery, which offers about 12 hours of battery life under normal use. The battery can be charged via the phone's USB port or by an external charger. Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-1545 Review
My "new other" phone was probably defective and probably was not what i would call "new other." It had someone else's gmail account in it and required a factory reset to get it cleared out. I sent it back primary due to reception and transmission issues and have purchased an LG G4 (Verizon). I would have probably gotten another S4, but a friend that I was with yesterday has one and said the only thing he didn't like about his was short battery life which I had experienced. The eBay vendor I purchased it from was very helpful in the return. Nobody seems to have the quality of screen that Samsung does. I have owned at least 2 other Samsungs. It was sharp. The camera was very good, much better than the Motorola Droid Maxx that I replaced due to failing call quality. I would have replaced my old phone with another Maxx if I could have found a new one. The reception on this phone was much poorer than the Maxx's that others also use in my house. I liked the home screen button that can be held briefly to clear everything you have been running. The power button was very sensitive and too easy for me to lightly touch and put the screen to sleep. The default Google configuration was too invasive on what I consider "privacy issues" but that was Samsung and Google's issue and could be remedied with just a few basic setup changes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

No longer network compatible
Battery was not good upon arrival, had to purchase a charger and new battery. This phone is no longer compatible with the network, the only way you will be able to activate a S4 these days is if your SIM card is already active on your account. Verizon will no longer recognize any Galaxy S4's or prior in their system. Verizon has done away with the CDMA side of their network. Phone constantly freezes, GPS loses signal, apps randomly close. Will be a ok phone for just making phone calls or making a few texts. Best older phone
This is my second S4 because I like the phone so much. All the newer ones don't have removable batteries, so if your battery starts to fail, that's it for the phone. I couldn't decide whether to say "yes" or "no" on long battery life, because that obviously depends on several factors. Happily, you can easily buy a new battery for this phone! It's a good smartphone for 1st time owners and others. The one thing I will say about this phone is if your an advanced user demanding root access to branded Samsung Galaxy S4 phones, the only way to surely get over the locked bootloader is by means of "Safestrap". Sweet spot of price and performance
New enough to perform well all around but old enough to find a bargain. Sure it's more laggy than a newer model but most of the time that's barely noticeable. Camera too will be better on a newer model but it still does a great job and a world better than cheaper phones no matter how new. Very happy I chose this phone. Fantastic Phone
Realize that this a an older version that has been superseded by the S5, S6, and S7. But hey its also less than half the price of a used S6, and S7's and not a lot of difference with the S5 . I personally like the size , fits better in my pocket than the larger newer ones. Phone is fast and has all the features you would ever need. Including one Important feature missing in the S6 and S7. MHL HDMI output. You can plug this phone into your TV or monitor and with a Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse set back and use it as a computer on the big screen. Cant do that with the S6 and S7. Excellent condition, like new
Bought this used, to have as a spare and for my granddkids to use with games and it's like new condition and so far works well. In the rating questions it says "Does this have a small form factor?" and I don't know what that means.. even after I googled i it. It is a small phone, but has a large screen, for it's size. I don't know if this review is for the S4 overall, or the specific one I bought, used on ebay. the best phone - was in perfect condition and is the best smart phone on the market
the Galaxy S4 is the best smart phone because it has all the features you could possibly need and has a big screen. After you use this phone the smaller ones seem tiny. You can watch YouTube videos on it and it is (just barely) big enough to really watch them. It seems to be more durable than Iphones because I have just a rubber outer cover on it and drop it on the floor or sidewalk every few days but it doesn't get damaged. One drop like that would break the glass on an Iphone. The battery life isn't the greatest even with a new battery - maybe two hours of net searches or map use is all you get. More of course for phone calls. But unlike the later rip-off models, it has a replaceable battery, and the batteries are about $40. The battery charges fast, and it will charge completely in about an hour using an external battery, longer when plugged into the wall. The find my phone feature works perfectly. And the personal hot spot has a nice strong signal so you can use a laptop in another room and it is as fast as regular strong wifi. I had one stolen in Europe in July, and bought another S4 when I got back to the states. And I bought an S4 for my daughter's birthday present. She loves it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
