The LG Revere VN150 Verizon phone in black with gray touches is a very simple, stylish mobile phone that excels at basic communication. It is compact, lightweight, and has some very impressive features for an entry-level mobile phone. The cellphone uses a CDMA dual band 800/1900 platform. It makes a good choice for those who believe that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.The LG Revere has a traditional, plastic clamshell form factor design, a classic for Verizon devices. Its curves and round corners make it very comfortable to hold. It is 3.78 inches long by 1.95 inches wide by 0.72 inches thick, making it a portable device. Once you flip it, you meet an impressively layered numeric keypad with a D-pad above them. The left and right D-pad keys are shortcuts for volume control and the video recorder. There is sufficient spacing between all other keys, making typing using this numerical keypad a pleasant experience.The phone’s screen resolution is nice quality. The exterior display screen measures .98 inches and features the date, time, signal strength, and battery level. Flipped open, it has a monochrome screen with 262,144 colors at 176 x 220 pixels. Its pixel density stands at 141. In addition to that, its text and general graphics are clear and vibrant. It uses TFT technology, which gives the best resolution for the screen panel. Its camera has 1.3 megapixels. It is also worth noting that it has a digital zoom with a built-in self-timer. The camera settings have an array of formatting options, which can be selected from to modify captured pictures.Verizon had everyone in mind with 35 polyphonic ringtones to choose from. Simple but reliable and durable old standard
This is an excellent, basic phone for making calls, very easy to use. The speakerphone feature is loud and clear. Battery life is excellent. Phone is small and compact. Distinctive rings can be assigned to specific numbers. Phone stores hundreds of numbers. Camera is very basic but useful in an emergency, though Verizon charges to send photos. One can buy a cord to download them from the phone. I can't rate Internet ability because I never used that feature, though I feel that is best left for smartphones. It can be used for texting as well, though the keypad makes that impractical as one must hit the same key 1, 2, or 3 times to enter a specific letter and 4 times for a number. I bought this phone to replace the identical one, which went through the wash cycle. Needless to say, no phone is likely to work after going through the washing machine, though until that happened, the phone had survived being dropped in wet snow, and a brief dip in the swimming pool. The original lasted for at least 5 years of hard use, and I expect the same of the replacement. If you're looking for simple, reliable, durable, inexpensive and compact, this is it. As this is an old model, it is unlikely to find one that's new without paying a premium for it, but used ones in good condition seem to be plentiful as of mid 2016.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Compact and reliable
I love my flip phone. I don't care what anyone says they are the best. You can take a quick picture ( I don't need a huge camera in my telephone) I can text (although if I wanted to write letters I would buy note cards) And it's small. I don't want my bank information, credit card numbers, the irrelevant behavior of people I know (or worse, don't) at my fingertips. This phone is perfect and will last three or four years if I don't drop it in the sink. Oh yea-hairdryer and patience, Verizon didn't want to tell us that, but they come back !!!
