    Great product. I wish the weather station had come with it. Saves you from having to get a ladder and go up and change the batteries. The 30' cord is ample. Good quality item.

    Makes replacing batteries at 15 or 98 degrees F. EASY!

    Wow! This changes everything - wish I had had this 4 years ago! No more lowering the telescoping pole in 98 degree weather or when it is 15 degrees and snowing!! Just walk to the base of the mount, open the battery compartment and swap out the batteries - then your back inside watching reruns of the Big Bang Theory, College football or old John Wayne westerns in front of a warm fire or in A/C. Extremely easy to install in the 5 in 1 sensor and equally easy to mount. I used the cut-out side and bottom of an empty plastic milk jug to make a shield over the top of the battery holder to keep rain, snow and sun from directly hitting it, and it so far it seems adequate. Great purchase and worth the money!!!

    If you have an AcuRite 5 in 1 weather station, need one of these.

    If you have an AcuRite 5 in 1 weather station already, you're probably aware of the battery hungry nature of the device. Save yourself many trips up and down a ladder, get this remote battery pack. I've had my weather station up for 3 weeks now, and I've had to replace the batteries every week. If you know what your doing, make a power supply to replace the batteries permanently. It's worth the extra trouble for me, as I like the weather station. AcuRite should produce and sell a plug in power supply.

    Best thing invented for the weather station.

    Recently had knee replacement surgery. Batteries were going on the station. I have this mounted in the garage. Replaced batteries with no issues. If I had not had this, there was no way I could have gotten out the ladder and climbed upon a peaked roof. I am glad I had the foresight to buy this little extra option. Made my life a whole lot easier.

    Makes things safe

    Got the weather station up a pole on the roof and cloudy days half the time so the small solar cells are not charging internal battery's, found this unit so I do not have to get on roof, my safety is worth the money.
