    5 star movie worth seeing!

    I was a bit skeptical about a Mary Poppins without Julie Andrews but was pleasantly surprised with Emily Blunt's performance. She was stellar. The new Mary Poppins still has the mystique from the first movie that was so engaging. Having Dick Van Dyke at the end of the movie also created a fun continuity between the movies. Our family loved Mary Poppins Returns. Disney knows how to do it right.

    A great sequel for our times

    This is one of my favorite, recent films, featuring my current favorite actress: Emily Blunt. I actually credit this movie with getting me through a tough time at the end of the last decade. Director, Rob, Marshall calls this a “love letter to the original Mary Poppins,” and he’s absolutely right: this is a loving tribute, and one brilliantly in touch with the way we think and value things today. in short, a story more of its time than a sequel cast too closely in the mold of the original 1964 film could ever have been. Five stars for sure!!
