    A well manufactured kit of an early 20th century tow truck. A lot of enjoyment putting it together. A high sense of joy customizing the paint job you want to out on it. You can do minor research and paint it to match a similar truck from the 1910s or 20s. Or be really creative and do it in an original paint scheme. The lit is metal. So a primer coat is required for the best painting work.

    Looks Can Be Deceiving

    I have been building models for almost 60 years. Never worked with anything but plastic and wood before. That said working with non pliable metal was new for me. The pieces needed some sanding. No problem. But the fit of various pieces was not good. The undercarriage to the front assembly is a nightmare. Nothing to adhere to. That makes the weight of the other materials too heavy to sustain. Just an example but other challenges as well. And the "instruction sheet" is basically useless. It looked so good in the illustration but looks can be deceiving.

    A fun project if you like model kits.

    My biggest critique of this kit is that the wire supplied to be the steering wheel axle is too flimsy, I ended up substituting a heavier wire. It took four tries as it was to glue the steering wheel on the wire. Otherwise the piece came out really nicely and is a good addition to my HO train village. I even ordered a slightly different model.
