However the books have just the first 42 letter sounds introduced in Jolly Phonics, with none of the alternative spellings of vowels (so 'ai' as in rain, but not 'a-e' as in 'make', or 'ay' as in 'day'). The Level 2 books continue the high interest level of the books in Level 1, with the same three series: Inky Mouse and Friends, General Fiction (including some classics) and Nonfiction.
