Mediocre , but it will do the job
I only recommend this because it's inexpensive, and there isn't much competition out there. The stencils are very flimsy, and you have to be very careful you don't bend them during use. There seems to be too much slop up and down in the rails, and I had one pop out during use. I was able to do what I wanted to do, but it took practice and patience. Scrapped the first three attempts. Item is simple enough to use yet durable enough to handle the job. Like others have said, if you move slower and not try to speed route then you will find it very adequate. Going to fast will cause mistakes and possible damage to templates. Check your letters before taking off the template because lining it back up can be a hassle. All in all works exactly as it says. Good for a beginner
The temps. Work great but while making a sign the one letter fell out of the metal bracket and screwed up the letter but I fixed it, I used the bracket supports but it still popped out. It is inexpensive and if you are not looking for a perfectly carved sign then this is for you.
The router bits were poor in quality. The letter templates do not fit snug to the bushing that rides within them which cause a drift and poor quality lettering. The quality of the jig and its tightening screws and clamps are very poor. I broke one clamp on the first use trying get the jig to tighten to the board I was trying to carve.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy sign making
With this tool it's very easy to make your own wooden signs. You can make a sign with lettering up to about 36 inches. I have made a number of the so far both long and short. You will need a router to install the base on. I bought one at a home depot just for that purpose. Once you make the sign i tape up the area's that do not contain the letters . Then I spray paint over the sign letters which I made. Then just sand off the raised area's between the letters and take off the tape, You have a sign with colored letters.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
