    Bulge Buster Use

    I got this die specifically to use with the Lee Bulge Buster set up. It works great in that capacity and judging from the looks of the crimp neck (not used for bulge busting) it should perform well in that capacity as well. I can easily recommend this for the bulge busting purpose, it returns my 45ACP cartridge bases back to factory size and aids to insure proper function in chambers that are on the small side of spec. I could easily give this a 5 star rating, but didn't because I prefer an actual locking ring on the dies (for set-up repeatability). The O-ring locking set-up on this die worked fine as this type of die set up is not as critical as say an expander die or seating die. All in all, easily a good value.

    Must have to fight the BULGE

    If you have a good, tight 1911 or other high end .45 ACP, then you may well have issues with the "bulge" in reloaded cartidges. I found that I often had to bang the slide forward to get my gun to go into battery because the round would not fully chamber due to the "bulge" - this is especially noticeable on Glock's in .40 cal, but also common in .45 ACP. This die is needed along with the Lee Bulge Buster kit to completely return used cartridges to their original size.

    Lee carbide factory crimp die

    I had 20 rounds that wouldn't go in my chamber gage before using this carbide factory crimp die, afterwards all 20 dropped in slick as ol willy! Getting one in all my pistol calibers that I load ... My buddy was over and watched all unfold, he also bought new ones!

    45ACP Carbide LEE Factory Crimp Die

    I use a lot of Lee dies, and several Factory Crimp Dies, This die works great, I can get exactly the "grip" I want for my 1911 (fairly hot loads), and I can be confident every round will feed and chamber correctly. That's not really a surprise, I have never had a problem with Lee.

    Solve your 1911 feed problems.

    The Lee carbide crimp die is a must for the 45 ACP reloader. All to often the neck of the reloaded cartridge is not properly crimped if using a progressive reloader. The result is feed problems. Stove pipes and the like. Run the reloaded cartridge through the Lee carbide crimp die and see the results for youself. no waiting for the pistol to fail. It is a must have for me.
