    A must see. It's transformative.

    The whole series is such a compelling and engaging series. Best portrayal of Jesus that I've ever seen. The cast is excellent as well as the production value and especially the writing. Can't wait for the next season to come out.

    Seeing Jesus through the eyes of the disciples.

    I started watching the series on network TV and was so enthralled by how well-written it was and how the characters were portrayed by the actors, I decided to invest in the DVDs so I could watch them as often as I wanted, whenever I wanted. Anyone who has a rudimentary knowledge of the Bible will appreciate this series, I think. Just be sure you understand that the background material, while true to the biblical times, is fictionalized to make it easier to for us to relate to how the disciples may have seen Jesus when He walked the earth.

    This is one of the best Christian series ever. It gives you a better understanding of what it was like in biblical times. It gives you a better understanding of the disciples lives and how they came about being chosen. And it gives you a wonderful understanding of The human side of Jesus. We tend to forget that he was a man at the same time as he was God. The series shows that side of him. What a blessing for the disciples to have walked and learned from him personally for all that time. I can't say enough good about the show.
