    Great device, bad (new) price.

    Expands the capability of any Microsoft Surface device. It is a perfect desk accessory for my Surface Book. Unfortunately it retails for close to $200 new, so buying used / second hand would be the way to go.

    A Necessary Addition to your Surface

    The dock is definitely a necessary addition to your Surface if you want to set it up as a real desktop PC. It features 4 additional USB ports and allows me to add my USB speakers, a wired LAN and extend the desktop to multiple monitors. I wouldn't be without it.

    Brilliant Solution for Desktop Replacement

    This was a brilliant sollution to my home setup. It truly transform the surface pro 3 to a desktop replacement. I love having the display ports and high speed usb's ready to go every time I dock my computer. Image quality on the displays is 100%. Great build quality you would expect from microsoft.

    Perfect for the Surface Pro 6!

    Works perfectly with my Surface Pro 6! Love that I can connect one cable and get all of the functionality I need, connecting power, a mouse, an audio interface and ethernet all at once. Since the Surface Pro 6 doesn't have USB-C, I can't use one of the generic USB-C hubs so this is the next best thing, plus the "Mag-Safe"-like connector is a bonus.

    Good, substantial dock but lacks HDMI input

    The dock was as good as new. I have gone through 4-5 docks and external USB ports. This one is a keeper, because it's sturdy, has just the right number of ports, and it's not likely to tumble off my desktop like other USB docks. Since it's for an older generation of Surface laptops, it doesn't have an HDMI port. I had to buy a mini Displayport adaptor for the monitor's HDMI cable. All is well. Could have done without the extra mini Displayport port, though.
