    Readable, well illustrated, polished

    Vividly illustrated and organized. I am a SCUBA diver who was interested in learning more about the underwater life. I am not disappointed and think this is a good book outside any college course and especially good for self learners. Do not pay $100 for this book. I found it much less expensively on Ebay!

    for beginners

    Very colorful and interesting book. It is a bit too simplistic and explains everything for beginners (some molecules, habitat, niche) perfect for people who just start learning about biology and ecology.
