    Perfect Original Part 38528-027 Belts for Hoover Legacy

    These are the original belts for Hoover Legacy Upright vacuum. For reasons I cannot begin to understand, Hoover has changed its 38528-027 belts for a new part number 38528-040 and it's a bad move; the new "...040" belts are smaller in circumference, are too tight, difficult to put on, and have reportedly created bigger problems (including burning out motors). I specifically searched for the Original Hoover Upright Belt #38528-027 (40201116 2 pack) because I refuse to use Hoover's *new* Replacement Belt # 38528-040, it's too tight.

    Fits the very old Hoover we have perfectly

    When you have a very old vacuum cleaner (Hoover Elite 5) that refuses to stop working, you will want to take good care of it, and that includes changing the belt now and again. These belts, a "replacement part" for the original part number DO fit the machine, though it looks like they wouldn't. Well, after the visual shock, guess what? It fit. Keep some on hand and do you and your machine a favor; keep the belt from wearing out.

    Good solid belt, fit perfectly on my older Hoover upright vac.

    OEM in original package = 15 years old but still good.Needs pre-stretching.

    Original belts in original packaging = 15 years old so they needed quite a bit of pre-stretching to install. I also rubbed them with rubber shine to restore elasticity. Package has great instructions on the back.

    Vacuum Cleaner Belts Work Wonders

    The belts arrived in a sturdy package in a timely fashion. The three belts appeared to be new and of a sturdy material. The replacement of the belts took very little time. The vacuum cleaner works unbelievably better now that the new belts have eliminated a lot of the slippage the old frail belt was working. The vacuum cleaner works like new and I am happy with the belts I purchased.
