If you haven't played the first two, I strongly recommend doing so. It definitely helps to under stand the struggle of the character in the game and defines what the mission of the character is. It also helps to understand what exactly you are trying to accomplish, besides completing the puzzles to the game the graphics are awesome. In my opinion it one of the complex storyline puzzle games of the 21st century and highly recommend it to anyone that is smart enough and has enough time to focus on the tasks at hand in the game. I also recommend obtaining one of the help guides or even utilizing the internet to get help with some of the tasks, because with out that help I know I would not have been able to pass some of the puzzles. Great game and great series. If you like this game then I would recommend trying these other games by Ubisoft as well: Myst, Riven (the sequel to Myst), Real Myst, Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, Myst III: Exile, Myst IV: Revelation and Myst V: End of Ages.
