  • Whitey Ford Sings The Blues - Everlast

I BOUGHT THIS DISC BECAUSE OF EVERLAST'S APPEARANCE ON CARLOS SANTANA'S 'SUPERNATURAL' CD, AND I WANTED TO HEAR HIS SOLO MATERIAL. 'WHITEY FORD SINGS THE BLUES' IS A LARGELY AUTO-BIOGRAPHICAL ALBUM ABOUT EVERLAST'S HEART ATTACK. THE SONG 'WHAT IT'S LIKE IS GREAT' AND IS DEFINATELY A MUST LISTEN TRACK. EVERLAST COMBINES, ROCK, RAP, AND BLUES IN CREATING THIS CD, AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY ON THIS SONG. UNFORTUNATELY, FOR ME, THE REST OF THE CD IS A LITTLE TOO HEAVY ON THE RAP AND HIP-HOP BEATS, WHICH I'M NOT REALLY INTO. IF YOU LIKE RAP AND HIP-HOP YOU WILL LIKE THIS CD, IF YOU'RE NOT A HIP-HOP FAN IT IS STILL WORTH A LISTEN JUST FOR 'WHAT IT'S WORTH'.

  • All good!!!

This is a several year old CD but it holds up well. I am more of a blues/Motown/old school R&R guy (Clapton, SRV, Stevie Wonder, etc). I always liked the rap "What it's Like" so I decided to venture into a rap CD. I was not dissapointed. All the Lyrics are hard core and the message of the CD is crystal clear. Live or Die by the "Smokin Gun"! I'm hooked. This is a gr8 CD to work out to as well. It gets you mad and pumped up. Out!

  • everlast whitney ford sings the blues

i bought this cd because it has my class song on it i love the entire cd i do not dislike anything, i find the songs true to life some of the songs are a little rough but then when you think about it so is life, so why sugar coat it. how ever i would not recommend this cd for children it has some exspicit language. but is a great cd for a mature adult who wants to lisen to good music. my only complaint is it would have been just as good a cd without the fowl language but thats only my opinion.

  • A couple of pretty decent blues tracks, rest is rap...
