Waited for this game and worth it. Love the easy gameplay. A game you can play and enjoy. No need to keep track of health, number of kills , or if your weapons stockpile is low. Sometimes it is good to remember the games that got you into gaming to enjoy, not to prove how much money you can spend on your rig. I know this game isn't for everyone, but it does require you to think and pay attention to what you are doing. Controls are simple. Gameplay is much longer than you think. Yes, there is a lot of repetitive gameplay, but you are on a farm and that requires doing the same thing everyday.

This game is basically a ruff draft for its sequel (another wonderful life). It has many grammer issues, and tends to be a bit redundant.

This game is cute. You can learn all about Farm life and how much hard work it can be. You start off inheriting your fathers farm and must make it successful which includes getting married to one of the single gals in the town, but you must win her affection by the end of the first year. You also need to make your farm produce money, which enables you to choose whether you want to farm the land or farm animals for money. You need to support yourself and your family as you will soon have a child after your marry. To do this you must learn to cook with the food available throught the land or thru your farming means. Each season changes and you go thru the years. Many surprises along the way and you will never know what path you will take when you befind one charater or make another upset. The only downfall is that you can not control your wife or child. This game has a bit of a Sims touch to it, but more simplified. My 3 year old loves to tinker around with it as he likes the animals and riding the horse and picking up the chickens. I like it as it gives me relief from a hectic day!Read full review
I've been playing Harvest Moon since its gameboy years and really there's not much that can be added to make something as simple as a farm life more interesting. Don't get me wrong I still loved this game, it has wonderful graphics, easy controls, and many unique characters. But really once you've played one Harvest Moon you've played them all. I would suggest this game to anyone who enjoyed other Harvest Moon games and wants more, or even novices who've never tried a Harvest Moon game.
My six year old grandson got this game for xmas and asked me to help him read this programs messages. I enjoyed this game so much I wanted one of my own, as my grandson took his home. I was raised on a ranch and this game appealed to me. I have also bought the next two editions of Harvest Moon and I have the new WII version on reserve. My grandson is learning to read because he wants to plan this game better. I do dislike that there are only 6 chapters for this version, but there are other versions out there. This is a great introduction version of what comes next.
I had been watching this game in the local store till they pulled all of their Gamecube games. I decided if I found it on here I would get it and give it a try. I didn't quite know what to expect playing a game like this. So thinking this was going to be an easy game was incorrect. This game is tuff in its own right. There are so many things you have to keep track off, and managing your time wisely is a must. It's a great game for sitting back and relaxing after a long day or a rainy day. Although patience is a must and when you start out somethings can be kinda vague. lastly this game is for all ages. Enjoy.
This is my 11 years son's appreciation : I rated this game good, because it is not a high sensation action game. However, I was interested for this game for its calm environment. It has relaxing sounds and is nice to play when I am having a relaxing activity... it is like real life and I like the way people interact in the game. They are always nice and I like to discover new things on a farm were growing is nice to experiment in a gentle way. I appreciate this game that respects earth and people. I always check reviews before buying any video game. This one was highly rated and I wanted to have it and since I got it, I play every week.
This game is not as good as A Wonderful Life Special edition! But don't get me wrong I think this has got to be one of the best RPG's out there = to Date!! I think they could have made this game better if you could marry Lumina! Instead of going and making a new Harvest Moon game for the PS2! That's the only down fault to this game, you can't marry Lumina!! This game has a lot to offer, how they got all that on one disc I'll never know!! this game has countless things you could do! Which makes this game hard to get Bord with! I recommend this game to all ages!
Harvest Moon as a series has had it's good games and bad games, but A Wonderful Life is probably one of Natsume's best iterations of their classic farming/gathering series. Better yet, if you have a GBA, link cable, and Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town, you can actually transfer data between the two games which was extremely innovative for the early 2000s and is still pretty darn cool to do even today. A definite buy for those who love Harvest Moon, or have played games like Stardew Valley and want to explore older samplings of similar games.

It is a fun game for all ages. Very easy to figure out and play. I love the game and so does my 5 year old daughter. It is very easy for her to understand what is going on in the game and the controls are easy for her too. It is a little slow with all the "talking" between the characters, but that is the only negative I can find with the game. However, I AM a little impatient and want to just play and not read LOL.
