    An Anime Fan's Best Friend

    I am an anime fan. There, I said it. So when my old DVD/VCR player, which was a hand-me-down from my sister, finally gave out, needless to say I had to get it replaced fast and cheap! The MWD2206 satisfied both of those qualifications, and then some. The first thing that took me by surprise was the fact that it was one of the only remaining VCR's that had a TV tuner on it still within my budget! After taxes, it came up to $59.89. All of the newer DVD players (including the cousin of this player, the ) didn't come with tuners, and the ones that did were WAY over my puny budget of $70, so finding this rare gem in Wal-Mart was great. (Please note, if you're going to invest in this DVD from Wal-Mart, make sure you're getting the DVD/VCR model MWD2206, the cousin ...

    MWD2206 DVD Player / VCR Combo

    I bought the Magnavox DVD/VCR player recorder to replace a worn out Panasonic. The Panasonic model was no longer available and the Magnavox model was satisfactory to my use. The Panasonic had a digital clock, while the Magnavox lacks this feature, and I miss it, however the Magnavox does provide excellent service and I am well pleased with it. An excellent machine at a very good price.

    Would definitely buy again and recommend. Works great & easy to hookup/use

    I love this! I play a lot of videos for my grandchildren when I'm watching them because I don't have cable. My old VCR died so I purchased one of these used. Absolutely love it! I didn't get a remote with it but the best part is I really don't need it. Have yet to find anything I can't do with the buttons on the machine itself. I do have a universal remote I'm sure I can set up to work with it but I really don't need it so haven't bothered. The last VCR I had you couldn't even use unless you had the remote to change the viewing mode so that is a huge plus. I am not totally helpless when it comes to hooking up these things but also not the best at it either and I had no problem hooking this up with no instructions whatsoever. I was able to download a manual for free online which I have yet ...

    Great product. Plays clear every time.

    I've owned this model more than once and it works great. It always plays both VHS and DVD's perfectly. I would reccommend this model to anyone looking for a DVD/VCR combo. As with any VCR or DVD player, the quality of the VHS tapes and the DVD's does make a difference on how well they play. A wrinkled tape could cause the VCR to eat the tape. A scratched DVD could cause the DVD player to skip. The player itself works great though.
