As with most other financial books, this one told you to live within your means, pay off debt, pay for things in cash, and invest. That is the key to financial success. I did like the fact that it was geared towards couples though. There were some good tips on how to deal with a partner that does not see things as they are/should be financially and overall an easy read. The worksheets and "exercises" that you are supposed to do really are helpful. A good author with sound advice that is simple and straighforward.
This book is exactly what I was looking for. A step-by-step guide on how to retire the way I want to retire. It's baby steps, starting with who you are and what you value. What are your dreams? David Bach gives you so much empowerment and peace about what you need to be doing now, what you can do down the road and when you can retire. I also appreciate the fact that he shows you how you can do all this and still have money to do what you want to do in the meantime, the short-term dreams. Because of his advice, my family gets to go to Disney this year! YAY!
A book all couples need to read. Excellent ideas how to end up wealthy in todays society. Easy to follow plan.
