    Pleasantly surprised

    I've been hesitating buying an indoor antenna because most reviews indicate problems with performance. Our installation is in a half basement, and we live out in the boonies. I didn't want to shell out $50 or more for something that wouldn't work. We discovered we have a cluster of transmission towers about 25-30 miles away as the crow flies. With a lot of interference between the towers and the TV located in our half basement, I wasn't too hopeful. We set the antenna in front of a basement window facing the general direction of the tower cluster, ran the channel scan and even though the illuminated indicator on the antenna showed the weakest possible signal, we pulled in 7 channels with amazingly clear picture and sound.     Not Quite As Good as The Cheap Antenna that it Replaced

    While I'll admit that the reception of the channels this antenna picked up, after several scans, does seem a tad crisper and stronger than the cheap antenna it replaces, the cheap antenna picked up several more channels than this one did. I'm kinda torn because, even after waiting through several LONG scans, this antenna was not able to receive the one local channel that matters most to me. We're planning to move this year. Maybe it will do better in another location. For now, it definitely works but I'm just a little bit disappointed.

    Good value and it worked.

    This was a open box so wasn't expecting the box to be in that good of a shape, which it wasn't but the antenna inside was dirty, like it was a used item, not a open box. But I was abel to clean it up with a damp cloth. Easy to use. I was able to get 18 stations in real clear and one not so clear. All but one of the stations were located in the same area, so it was easy to point it in the right direction, and fine tuned it using the indicator lights. It is in the bedroom right now, but plan on taking it up to the second level and see if I can pull in more stations that way. Saved over halp the price of the same item in Wal-Mart. It was $49.99 in that store.

    buy it...try it...

    well....its sketchie..im 40 miles(plus) from tv towers...and my only window faces west..the towers are east..im surprised I can get anything..but I do..about 20 channels...ODD...the channels are HD much brighter/clearer than cable...I doubt any other indoor antenna could out perform this.
