Like other Philips' DVD players I've owned, this has played every disk I've thrown at it. I also tested it with a 64GB SanDisk USB flash drive. So far it played 3 feature length movies without a hiccup from the flash drive. It froze on a 4th one, but I suspect it might be the file, not the machine, because the other three played perfectly including fast forward and backwards and slo-mo and freeze frames. It also has a host of other sources like youtube etc but I haven't used them yet. I tested the youtube menu and it connected but I didn't take the next step of setting up the user account because I'll probably never use that feature. One note on using the USB -- if you're watching short films you must use the fast forward feature instead of the skip ahead feature to go forward quickly, otherwise ity skips to the next short film. The skip ahead works fine with longer films via USB and all features worked perfectly with all disks.Read full review

Honestly, the only thing that is good about this is that it's inexpensive. It's an obvious Walmart drop-in model that was built to hit a price-point and drive floor traffic. The menu system is weak, the load times are slow and the build quality is flimsy. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money if you want to use this full-time, honestly this is rubbish and I don't expect it to last.i
I love this product. It has all the features that I was looking for. It also looks and plays great. I would recommend this product to family and friends.
