I've owned a irwin set and then this one and the snap on ones have adjustable does which is really nice also the quality seems to be a little better and also the material seems to be stronger, I would reccomend th oh s set to anyone that uses maintenance / plug taps on a regular basis otherwise save some money and buy a cheaper set

The modern set is garbage, it is made by Irwin with the same terrible quality. I spent more money to get the Snap-on version hoping it would be better, but it has the same weak material and the same bad machining, with the same burrs left on the tools. They claim to be made in the U.S.A., but I don't believe it, the quality is that of slave-labor. They break way too easily and they don't cut decent threads.
