Older But Awesome Versatility
I own two of these cameras and there are a few things that stand out as highlights. Optical Zoom is great for shooting from 30-100 feet. No image degradation. On board memory storage is virtually limitless with two SD card slots plus the capacity for onboard flash memory. Image quality is consistent and flexible for both outdoor and indoor shoots. Lowlight shooting is not a problem for this camera. Works with Sling Studios, camera link for wireless experience. Highly customizable for the experts. You can adjust anything - focal point, exposure, color balance, audio mixes, inline, ambient - presets for up to 6 different styles of shooting. Great camera. Highly recommend.

This SONY HXR-NX5U is excellent for event Video & Wedding Video. This gives you full freedom to manual option to get the best video out of it the way you want. External flash memory drive is bonus and you can have backup on all the time when you shoot important events. When compare to Panasonic HMC150 Sony NX5U has a better lens than HMC-150 It's gives you more wider shots.I like the camera so far but price is little bit expensive. My price suggestion should be a brand new SONY HXR-NX5U $3500.00

Great camera
Excellent camera do not matter what are you recording or streaming. Very easy to use. We have a few volunteers that don’t have too much experience on video streaming, but they can operate this camera very well. I loved this camera has its own external ”boom” microphone. Excellent sound quality.

Legendary Run N Gun camcorder!
I’ve purchased 4 of these fantastic cameras over the years. Still viable in 2019 because of all the professional level controls and menu options. More buttons, level adjustable knobs and controls on the camera than any current Sony camera. Great in low light, set the gain limit to 9db to avoid grain. The audio is 2nd to none. Great hand held or on a tripod. Reliable, quick to set up and start capturing footage and everything you need in one package! $4500 when they came out, now you can steel one for 1/3 this price! Perfect for weddings and corporate events!
