    The untimate in anti-obselencne electronics

    From the originator of the Variac, the GenRad W5MT3 is a classic great item because it comes in a factory wired grounded 3 wire electrical system system with power switch and circuit breaker for safety and earned both CSA and UL certification ensuring the efficacy of the design. Also for those out there looking for a noise and buzz free lighting dimmer, this is just the ticket. That makes it perfect for uses where there must not be any added noise, such as in recording studios or electrical and electronic test lab facilities. So even though this model started into production in 1956, if not abused via overloads or shorts, it is very common for these units to go on working perfectly today, as the day they were made. That's impressive in my books.
