I've purchased five of these.
Although I generally prefer Sony brand Blu-Ray players, which have more resale value, the 2012 LG BP620 is my favorite unit to use. Well built, long-lasting, and has audio/video outputs for connecting to an analog stereo or DVD recorder. The front USB port will display up to 2,000 images or videos (Sony will only display up to 500, unless you separate them into folders) As of 2017, the unit still has You-Tube. 2011 and before units do not.Although I generally prefer Sony brand Blu-Ray players, which have more resale value, the 2012 LG BP620 is my favorite unit to use. LG Manu Refurb BR Player..great buy, excellent product!!
I've wanted a Blu Ray Disc player for some time now, but I guess I am just too tight-fisted with my $$. However, this has turned out to be an excellent buy. I currently only have DVDs and no blu ray disks but I am really pleased with the upscaling function. The player was very easy to set-up, connect and operate. I have bought manufacturer refurbished electronics for several years and I find this category of electronics to be very reliable, very cost effective and render excellent service. REGION-FREE BLU-RAY PAYER
Plays great Blu-Ray disks both from the USA and UK, though setting up for it is a little clunky - you have to program the machine BEFORE switching it on, which is out of the ordinary routine. Once you remember that, things are fine. It connects to Netflix also, if you have a contract with them, and the picture quality is great with them also. Every now and again there is a whirring sound from the machine, which I think is something to do with the disk inserted. I had another player which did that, and never could find out why. It's not dying or anything, just annoying.
