Every four years, the world's favorite sport stages its ultimate competition, and publishing label EA Sports brings the play home to fans in a video game version for contemporary consoles. On PlayStation 3, 2010 FIFA World Cup: South Africa presents an experience that aims to encompass the entire international event, and closely follows the format of the real-world competition. Beginning with the qualifying rounds, the game includes 199 teams that dreamed of playing in the world championships. Gamers can take a shot at leading their favorites through the entire event, from the qualifying rounds to the final series, or jump straight to the finishing rounds with the sport's biggest players in a custom, all-star match up. 2010 FIFA World Cup is built on the same game engine that drives the critically acclaimed FIFA 10, with similar features, options, and gameplay. The game's presentation celebrates the 2010 global event. Each team plays in its authentic uniforms, with distinct play styles, and home and away strategies, to match its real-life counterpart. All ten of the South African stadiums that house the tournament are re-created for the game, with details such as the effects of different altitudes on ball movement and player fatigue, as well as fireworks displays, confetti showers, and animated crowds to bring the pageantry of the games to life.
hey this game is great is so much better than fifa 2010 which i have as well. what i like the most is the way the players control the play is so much better and you can do tricks just by pushing a single touch..!!! the online two things that i don't like at all is, the penalty kick setup is so bad that you need to be a pro just to make it!! and the other thing is that you can't do online team play...whyyyyyyy... i think is part is what i hate the most. thanks
Great Game nothing much else to say. The graphics and gameplay are smooth, and I really like the selection of countries. Actually I would recommend this game over Fifa 11, just because I prefer international, and the selection in FIFA 11 is really poor. I also really like that the commentators are not as repetitive this year. It's probably as close as playing on the pitch as we can get today.
2010 FIFA WORLD CUP: ONE OF THE BEST SPORTS GAMES!!!
This game is awesome. It has all the countries you can think about in it, from Spain to Solomon Islands, yeah seriously! Moreover, it has a game-play like none other. There are several game modes; from captaining your own team through qualification to the world cup finals to Penalty shoot-outs. It has a great online mode where you can play against random people across the face of the earth, or simply your friends. There's also an online mode where you go through the world cup group stage till you are eliminated. It is a fantastic game. Also, there are many more celebrations in this game, all been real celebrations that have been performed by real soccer players before. It has an intense atmosphere to it and it's just a great game to play. I personally recommend it to all soccer fans because it's the only soccer game that will stay current for at least 2-3 years though you can say four since that is when a new version will be released. To make my point short, this is an amazing soccer game!Read full review
The game was an amazing representation of the World Cup. It had the excitement and festivities that all come with the world cup. Game play is much improved from the Fifa 10. The only bad difference in game play is that it seems much wilder and a much quicker pace than Fifa 2010. The only bad thing about the game is the lack of game modes, but the game modes that are in the game make up for the lack of variety.
EA really did a good job with the atmosphere and graphics. This game not only looks great, it plays solid as well. The highlight of this title is working your way up to qualify and then play in the South African World Cup. Make your player, add him to a teams roster and win it all for your country. Joyful music, a bright colorful theme and crowd involvement really drive home an authentic feel to this game. If you like or love soccer you should be more than willing to pick up this game for the little it cost.
I really enjoy this game alot.
Love how they have the world cup tourney and all the qualifiers that you can play through. Its awesome that this game contains so many different teams from hundreds of different countries. The game controls aint the hardest to master, so basically anyone can play this game after a few tries. Only thing that I can say I thought shouldve been better, is the game graphics of the game. The graphics aint really that much better then the ones in FIFA 2006.
If your a football/soccer fan, you will definately enjoy this game. Its a very exciting fast pace game that really does catch some of the excitement of World Cup Football.
I recently bought FIFA World Cup 2010, because I was watching the world cup and I saw all the new players all the teams had. My previous FIFA game (EURO 08) only had half the players, and obviously only european teams.
Overall they did a great job with the new FIFA. It has all the features of the previous games and they added some new ones.
I really like that they kept the celebration possibility after you score.
In summary, if you liked the previous FIFA's, this game is for you. It plays smooth, and the graphics are great. It has plenty of features and game modes, so you will be busy for a while.
Very nice game exclusive for the soccer games players.
The Good: this game is like the olds fifa games control buttons and new modailty. with more realistic movements and graphics.
the Bad: more difficulties for shoot to the golkeeper and the penalties, but nothing that a couple hours expended in the game could fix it.
