    Good Upgrade

    I was using a i7-3930k in a good computer I built for myself a few years ago and I wanted to upgrade. After carefull review, I decided to upgrade the processor instead of a replacement because most of the X79 chipset features are still in use today. I was able to overclock it @ 4.7ghz but Vcore had to be 1.415v but that's a little to high for me so 4.6ghz runs great and Vcore is @ 1.355. The 15 meg L3 cache improved my flight simulator running much smoother at higher visual scenery settings. I have 2x AMD R9-290s in crossfire mode; but, Prepar3d flight simulator doesn't suppert this but the graphics density is very processor sensitive so it gave me a nice boost.

    Great Chip

    Great upgrade for those still holding on to their X-79 boards. Over clicks to 4.5Ghz without a problem and runs cooler than 3960x or 3970x.
