Dave Seville's famous singing sciuridae perform on Wii in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, a rhythm-driven music game based on the 2009 holiday season 20th Century Fox feature film. The play of the game involves movement and timing, to the beat of popular songs sung by the hyper-falsetto-ed trio. In time with the music, icons move toward stationary symbols in the center of the screen, and players try to move their controllers in an indicated direction, at the moment the icons hit the symbols. Other styles of involve side-scrolling symbols in the forefront of the stage; players must move a cursor up and down to collect musical notes while avoiding other symbols. The play mechanics are similar to those of other rhythm-based games, such as Elite Beat Agents, using the basic "tap in time to the music" dynamic of Dance Dance Revolution, except that the input is made with swirls and shakes of the motion-sensitive Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers instead of with steps on a floor mat.<br><br>Taking direction from the 1980s Ruby-Spears Productions cartoon, the story of the film and video game follows the three music-star brothers to school, where they meet three signing chipmunk sisters of comparable talent and tenor. The Chipettes, as they come to be called -- Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor -- become both rivals and love interests for Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. In the game, single players can perform as any of the six characters, or two players can join for a duet. A story mode ties the musical mini-game performances together, following the Chipmunks and Chipettes to 25 rock & roll venues around the world. The set list includes songs made famous in the 60 years of Chipmunks stardom, as well as more contemporary hits such as "Ain't No Party," "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," and "The Macarena," based on recordings by the original artists.

The Squeakquel Wii Game Review
Well I bought me a Wii about a week ago and then decided to get The Squeakquel game to go with it. Well I moderately impressed with it. The game has Story Mode which consists of you going around playing as The Chipmunks, The Chipettes, or sometimes both (duets). The main game consists of you using both the Nunchuk and Wii remote. Example for (RIGHT HANDED PLAYER). You have the Wii remote in your right hand and the Nunchuk in your left. Well you have 3 arrows on the screen for both the Nunchuk and Wii Remote a Up, Left, Down for the Nunchuk and Up, Right, Down for the Wii remote. Well little yellow bubbles will move toward those arrows and the object is to move the NunChuk and Wii remote in the direction that those bubbles appear on the arrows. One of the mini games consist of catching music notes while moving the Wii remote up and down avoiding some death symbols. One game consists of dodging bars that go up and down on the screen like on a stereo system. Another game consists of catching music notes and stars while avoid death symbols. Anyway I beat it in about 4 hours on Normal mode. You also have to gather a number of fans they tell you to to go on to the next stage and get rewards and stuff. Also in story mode they have little videos of the Chipmunks and Chipettes talking to each other about the tours and stuff, but there not live action just pictures of them talking and stuff. The music brings back memories from The Chipmunk Adventure and 2007 Chipmunk movie along with extra songs included and remixes. These are my overall scores for the game. 1 Poor - 10 Excellent Game Play - 5 (Moderately Hard) Music - 8 (Some excellent song choices although some from Squeakquel and Undeniable should been used) Graphics - 6 (Much better then the first Chipmunk game, but nowhere as good as it could be.) Annoyances - 4 (As your playing Alvin, Simon, Brittany and Jeanette annoy the crap out of you saying how good your doing or bad constantly none stop through the entire songs.) Very distraction and annoying. You hit your self with the wire going from NunChuk and Wii Remote in the face sometimes hitting the up arrows on the screen. Sound - 9 (All The Chipmunks and Chipettes sound like there true characters and everything else sound wise is fine) Overall Score - 6.5 (They really could have done much much better with it, but they don't take the time. They just want to get it out as quick as possible to get their money coming in.) Songs In The Game You May and May Not Recognize. Cold Hearted FunkyTown Girls Just Wanna Have Fun I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) Love Shack Marcarena Roam Tutti Frutti U Can't Touch This We're The Chipmunk (Deetown Remix) Diamond Dolls The Girls Of Rock N' Roll Flying With The Eagles Off To See The World Follow Me Now How We Roll Come Get It Get You Goin' Get You Goin' (Deetown Dance Remix) Coast 2 Coast Mess Around Ain't No Party Get Munk'd Get Munk'd (Feat Al D - Deetown Dance Remix) Witch Doctor (Dance Mix) The remixes were awesome by the way. Anyway, something else to add is when you mess up and stuff the Chipmunks and Chipettes will act dizzy and stuff and sometimes bow their head in shame or fall back on the stage and stuff. It's an okay game, but again could been better. O yeah after you unlock all the songs they have a Juke Box mode where you can play them.

I got this because we seen the movie and we loved it. This is such a fun game. Who wouldn't like the chipmunks? They are so funny.
