I inadvertently purchased the abridged version of Northern Lights. I say this because after listening to the book i enjoyed it so much that i bid on and won the unabridged version and have decided that unabridged will describe all my future book purchases. The difference in these two books is there are 5 discs(A) and 13 discs(UA)so you can see that a lot of descriptive prose is removed for the abridgment. Nora Roberts (J. D. Robb)is one of my favorite authors. While i have not actually reviewed the book which is set in Lunacy Alaska i believe my actions say READ THE BOOKI inadvertently purchased the abridged version of Northern Lights. Superbly Entertaining!
This was by far, the best Nora Roberts book I've ever listened to/read! Exciting combination of mystery, murder, romance and descriptions of the untamed Alaskan terrain. The characters are interesting, realistic and make you want to hear about their lives, even after the book ends. The book pulls you in and you become part of the townspeople of Lunacy, Alaska! This was one book I couldn't stop listening to until the very end! I would recommend this to everyone!This was by far, the best Nora Roberts book I've ever listened to/read! Exciting combination of mystery, murder, romance and descriptions of the untamed Alaskan terrain. The characters are interesting, realistic and make you want to hear about their lives, even after the book ends. The book pulls you in and you become part of the townspeople of Lunacy, Alaska! As always Nora Roberts doesn't fail to disappoint. Strong characters, plot that's full of action, and a sexy love story make for a read (in this case a "listen") that's more than entertaining. It's a great "beach book", but since it's winter, it would be fabulous by the fire! If Miss Roberts is an author you enjoy, Northern Lights will light your evenings!!!!

Loved this book and all the characters. Nora Roberts brings such life to the the individuals and reader Gary Littman does a great job. Nate Burk moves to Lunacy Alaska to find a new life after his cop partner is shot and killed in Baltimore. Nate blames him self for his partners death and wants to move on and finds a whole new life in Lunacy as well as some interesting cases. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.Loved this book and all the characters. Nora Roberts brings such life to the the individuals and reader Gary Littman does a great job.
