Freddy's back, only this time he's not confined to dreams in this macabre film within a film. Heather Langenkamp, star of the original NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, along with other actors and director Craven all appear as themselves. When Heather's husband is mysteriously killed her son begins to have disturbing nightmares, culminating in a bizarre encounter with the fictional boogeyman. As self-referential as Craven's SCREAM movies, but much more serious and creepy. Some scenes shot on location near the aftermath of the 1994 Northridge earthquake.

    Definitely Underrated Horror Classic

    For those who believe the conflicts in A Nightmare on Elm Street were just an elongated nightmare, then you're just gonna want to skip on to this film. It states that ANOES was just a movie, executive-ordered ending and all, and that there were sequels that don't get touched upon. There is an ancient demon taking the form of Freddy who's getting psychotic due to the films ending and Freddy being killed off. Now, he's set his sights on Heather Langenkamp, who played Nancy, who he vows to destroy in order to enter the real world unchallenged. But Heather has been getting proactive, becoming aware of this ancient demon and how such demons are created, and what she must do to stop him. Will that be enough? Watch to find out.
