SynopsisThe gnomes and dwarves have been bitter enemies for hundreds of years, but legends say they are kin from long ago. Their peoples are in perpetual war over what is known as the Gnome King's Heart. This giant ruby once belonged to King Arthur of Camelot. It produces its own light and was once placed atop the temple that held the Holy Grail. It was taken from Camelot when King Arthur died by an angel named Safriel. Before he could bury the gem he fell in love with a mortal woman which is forbidden. Their two sons were the first gnome and dwarf. When the archangel Gabriel took Safriel to prison for his sin, the boys growth was stunted as are their descendants ever after. The angelic blood that flows through their veins gives them long-life. The gnomes can turn invisible if they concentrate, while the dwarves are somewhat taller and hardier and wield the greater strength of the two races.Angelica and her brother are also part-angel, but not of Safriel's blood-line. They must find the gnomes and dwarves before they can make their way to Asgard which is rumored to still exist deep within the bowels of the earth., SAFRIEL'S BANELong ago and far away,A lonely angel lost his waySent from heaven on a mission he came,Sent by Gabriel to Camelot's flamesTo find and bury King Arthur's gem,Under the stones that men call hengeOne day he met a lady fair,And became enamored by her auburn hairA touch a kiss he broke his vow,For to love a mortal is not allowedIn her eyes he found true love,But forbidden it was from up aboveTwo sons to him she one day bore,In secret vale on Ireland's shoresFor his sin an Archangel came,To take him to prison head bowed in shameWithout angelic father his sons grew no more,Their children's children waved from shoreAs half-angel sons sailed far away,To paradise where the Menehune playFor a time they found love once moreOn the beaches of Hawaii's shoresOn Maui were buried side by side,Their second wives while children criedThey took the gem and sailed far away,At first all was calm upon gentle wavesThe sun was warm, their spirits high,Their sorrow faded where gulls flyThe gem can find the sons of mornThe eleven seek the one forlornThen Satan came and winds did blow,The ship was tossed to and froUpon sharp rocks the timbers did break,Cold water rushed in, their bodies did shakeAll seemed lost, they began to pray,They held the gem towards the end of dayRed light shot down to an ancient one,Now awoke the fourth born sonUp from the deep from beneath the sea,A Son of the Morning their plight did seeHe bore them up upon a wave,He showed them mercy, their lives he savedNow was battle like none before,Two Sons of Morning on distant shoresMountains rose and islands fellFor mighty is the King of HellThe dragon of the oceans fought fiercely,But Leviathan fled from the Lord of the SeaAmongst the Inuit where polar bears runBrother's found love in the midnight sunEven in mortals with angel's blood,They one day grow old since the Great FloodWar broke out amongst their kin,Over who would take their father's great gem
