Batteries don’t hold a charge
I bought this kit specifically for the batteries, the drill would just be a backup since I already have a drill. Turns out the batteries don’t hold a charge, making the whole kit useless. Waste of money.

TOUGH, RELIABLE AND STRONG IN A LIGHTER PACKAGE
I bought one of these new in 1992 when things were still made in USA. I built decks, doghouses, barns, houses and used it roughing-in new construction for electrical and plumbing work. It's been dropped 2 stories, left out in the rain and hot sun and never failed me until the last time it got dropped off an extesion ladder and messed up the gear box. The 14.4 volt system is an ideal balance of power/weight. It has plenty of power to work hard for hours before swapping the battery. The battery is lighter and more compact than the 18 volt systems, allowing a little more manueverability. I bought a used one from e-bay because it was just like my original that I still have batteries for, and which proved itself to be very reliable and able to take abuse. I'll probably get another one before ... I bought one of these new in 1992 when things were still made in USA. Replacement for my broken DeWalt DW 990
this is one powerful drill i got it second hand its light wait and can handle DIY stuff aswell as heavy duty stuff it has a 3/8 chuck like that a lot a Uncle of mine had one new back in the 90's said it was tough as nails and its easy to operate and replacement batteries are still available

These 14.4v drills are just about bullet proof,the weight is easier to handle ,the non slip grip helps to control and to use the revers button while up on the ladder,and take advantage of the clutch settings, that works as well,preset before you start. A-NP +
