The pros are it is a good copy of a 1977 Walter Payton card. However, as in all Topps PSA 8 cards of this year of Walter Payton there are the usual dark colored print defects on the card which you can see from the top of his head to the top of the card and in another area along the top of the card. Grading is not an exact science as it is done by humans. Very subjective. The saying buy the card and not the grade means to look at the card and determine for yourself what you would grade it. All PSA 10, 9 ,8 etc grades are not the same and that is the case here. One of the top corners is visibly dinged. Topps does grading under extreme magnification so this is a large flaw to this card. There are other copies with much better corners. In my opinion, based on the prices and other PSA 8 1977 Topps Walter Payton cards that I have seen, this card is overpriced at $500. However it is a good example of a PSA 8 that is available on ebay. Read full review
