Players proceed through a fantasy storyline, battle by battle, in this strategy RPG prequel to Konami's Suikoden IV. Suikoden Tactics is designed to offer accessible, easy-to-understand tactical role-playing. Icons and animations that appear above characters heads convey important information immediately, so the player does not have to dig through layers of menus to sort out relevant statistics.<br><br>The game's accessibility should not imply simplicity, however, as Suikoden Tactics features the sophisticated reticulation of attacks, defenses, and buffs for which the genre is known, and it even brings a few innovative devices to strategy role-playing. Characters who bond by fighting side by side through many battles can eventually learn to perform powerful combo attacks together, and special battlefield areas can influence magical abilities based on their elemental origins.

    I've never heard of a strategy-rpg before...

    I didn&apos;t know that this game was a strategy rpg. That means that you can&apos;t roam the cities (which I like to do), but at least that means that I won&apos;t have to worry about getting lost in dungeons and stuff. I bought this game because I like the Suikoden series (I haven&apos;t played part 5, yet). I like that in this game, you get to see some of the characters from Suikoden 4, but I am never able to find all 108 stars of destiny, so I always miss out on something. I don&apos;t like how certain characters can die permanently in battle and you can&apos;t bring them back ever. So I keep having to reset the game. I don&apos;t like the battle system. It takes too long to not be able to restore fallen allies. I want to just be able to run up on an enemy and attack, but you have ...

    Awesome Game! I love it!!

    Its a great game! I love it. I bought this game because I love the Suikoden game series. I've played 3,4 and I thought I would try out the Tactics game. Its a bit different to the other two I've played, but overall its very good. Had a neat way of tying to the other games. The battle system is neat, allows you to control all of your character movements, which I really like about this game. There isn't anything I would say I dislike about Suikoden Tactics. I enjoy playing this game,I really love this Strategy based game and I so believe others also would enjoy this game, especiallyif they have played any of the other Suikoden Games.
