    A little bit pricey (the programmable ones are actually cheaper!) But this one is just what I wanted - a digital thermostat WITHOUT all those pesky, confusing, unneeded program options. Someone is home all day, every day so we don't need the heat or ac turned up and down and on and off. This thermostat fit the bill perfectly and its a Honeywell (THE name in thermostats for decades). It was easy to install since it was replacing another Honeywell product. Looks great, works great.

    Good thermostat and user friendly

    Honeywell digital thermostat

    Ordered this to replace my old one that the display quit working on. I did not like new ones for sale at big box stores. It works very well but the display is dim, likely an old unit - on the shelf a Long Time.

    Maintains A/C at steady temp and easy installation

    This works much better than a programmable thermostat that cost more than double this one. Take your time reading the instructions and it a simple installation. Then read the set-up instructions - I'm using this for A/C only - and its ready to go. The A/C is cycling on and off much less.

    Simpler can be better.

    This is a simple heat/cool thermostat. No fancy features. No timers. Just select heating or cooling, set the temperature, done. Do you really need a thermostat that monitors your movements around the house? Keep it simple ... and inexpensive.

    Great and simple thermostat!!

    I especially like that it's backlit and really like the split display that shows the inside temperature and the temp the thermostat is set to at the same time. It's a very easy replacement, just shut off the power to the thermostat, note the colors of the wires and reconnect the color coded wires to the proper terminal of the new thermostat, it's just that easy!!! We did not want a programmable thermostat, just wanted something simple, if this is what you're looking for, this is the one for you.
