Secret agent Harry Tasker (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a busy man; when he's not saving the world from terrorists, he's under cover as a boring computer salesman, juggling the everyday needs of his wife, Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis), and his daughter. While Harry and his partner, Gib (Tom Arnold), work to stop a gang of international terrorists from getting their hands on missing nuclear weapons, Helen, feeling neglected, begins a covert affair with a sleazy used car salesman pretending to be a spy. When Harry finds out, he decides to give Helen a lesson in spy games, which backfires when the couple is kidnapped and stuck in the middle of an international terrorist crisis. Director James Cameron topped his previous spectaculars with this action-comedy extravaganza (the most expensive film ever made before TITANIC), featuring amazing stunts and special effects. Actual Harrier jets were hired from the U.S Air Force for their sequence, while production dangled from a skyscraper over the streets of Miami for the amazing climax. TRUE LIES is based on a 1991 French spy comedy entitled LA TOTALE! (Translation: THE JACKPOT).

    Why I like TRUE LIES - a great entertaining movie that almost all ages will enjoy

    Hey, it's Arnie looking and acting like only Arnie can do. Jamie Lee is at your prime, even sexier than when she did that front nudity in TRADING PLACES. To me, this is her best comedic acting role in her career. Tom Arnold is a crack up and the plot was great.

    This is One of my FAVORITE Movies! Definitely a Go-To Movie

    I love Arnold. And have to say, this movie is probably my favorite. He's a TAD older, but in his prime for sure. Jamie Curtis's dance scene in her underwear is a classic, lol. Tom Arnold is an awesome comic relief sidekick. There's a LOT of edge-of-your-seat excitement, a great cast of characters across the board, and don't worry, there's plenty of Arnold one-liners. Even though I now own this movie, I still keep it on my DVR because of how often I want to watch it. I always wished they'd made a sequel just because of how awesome this movie is. Yes, I was willing to risk a sequel sucking because I SO wanted a repeat of this good time. But I STILL get a repeat of this good time. By watching this movie again and again. I HIGHLY recommend.

    Funny and good spy cam stuff

    I enjoyed this movie and found it to be a great comedy. A computer sales guy hides his true identity to his wife (Jamie Lee Curtis) when he really is an agent. Helen Tasker begins to feel not wanted and needs more excitement in her life. She begins meeting men at coffee shops for her writing and guys show up after reading an interesting article in the paper making her believe he is the guy. Albert Gibson stops at their house to pick up Mr. Tasker for their missions. He places a spy cam cigarette pack on the counter and sees their daughter take money. They eventually find his wife meeting men at the coffee shop and pretend to set her up. It is quite funny and one of my favorites.

    A great action film with an awesome cast

    True Lies - Great action film with an awesome cast Crazy story, an amazing cast, and superb direction makes True Lies one of the best Arnie films of all time. Arnold, Jamie Lee, Bill Paxton, and Tom Arnold round out a prefect cast. True Lies is one of the funniest action films ever made. Final Verdict: 5/5 Rent or Buy?: This film is definitely worth buying, it's great action that doesn't take itself too seriously, and you'll laugh every single time you watch it.
