bought this for use on a precision ...22 rifle, its a large bulky scope but as this is a bench rest gun the size and weight are not a problem. clear glass, positive clicks on the turret adjustments, reticle is very nice. First Focal Plane, for the money, you cant beat this.

The ATHLON ARGOS is a great introductory scope to distance shooting. With the features of the $ 1000.00 scopes but with glass that is not as clear as the expensive scope where the glass the glass inside may cost $ 600 - $ 1000 dollars. I have 7 nice rifles an 3 have Athlon Argos Scopes. I would love to have Ares on all of them, but my budget right now can not justify the cost, I also have Athlon Midas on 2 rifles which are very nice scopes.

I put this on my Ruger Precision .308 and I can say it’s a great scope for long range. Clarity is good even at Max zoom. Let’s good light through in low light conditions and the turrets track well. Note on the RPR these rings will not work due to the hand guard being flush with the upper, you will need extra high.

My shooting line is 500 yards and I have a clear picture all the way. I manly shoot 300 yards and have never had a problem adjusting at any focus point. This is my third scope, one is on my granddaughter's 308 (6x24) and it has preformed as well as my 8x35s.
