About this product

Product Information

Five fresh cases of crime and intrigue await in Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, the first game in Capcom's courtroom drama franchise to star Phoenix Wright's longtime friend and prosecutor rival. As in earlier games in the DS-exclusive point-and-click series, players guide the lead character to investigate crime scenes, collect evidence, and compile these findings into a convincing case to present in court. Building a case requires both logic and intuition. Players must connect facts and other evidence to reconstruct the crime, paying especially close attention to the testimony of witnesses on the stand and rebutting suspected lies and half-truths. A new play element, the "Logic" mode, helps players to connect clues by answering rhetorical questions related to the crime. Occasional missteps are to be expected, but when players jump to the wrong conclusions or make unsound accusations, Miles takes a small hit on his life bar gauge. If the life bar reaches zero, the game is lost, so although players shouldn't be afraid to take a guess from time to time, they should always try to make the best guesses possible. The game is presented in the animated comic-panel style of earlier Ace Attorney games, and features several fan-familiar characters and settings.

    Ace Attorney Investigations... Level Awesome!

One of my favourite characters in the Ace Attorney games has always been the Prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth. He is cool, calculated, intelligent, and for a pixel guy, quite fetching in all the right ways Wink Wink Nudge Nudge. The fact that he would get his own spin off game(s) made me exceptionally happy from the start! I was worried, though, that somehow he would lose his awesomeness by being the main character focus. My concerns were obliterated to smithereens when this game came into my possession! The banter is still on-point, he's still quite cool, calculated, and intelligent! And yes, for a pixel guy, still rather fetching! I like the change up of the story to include the animations as well, and the new system of deduction within the environment? Excellent. The plot moves forward ...

  • Near Perfect

They say this game didn't do as good as the main games, well I call lies on that. despite you not being in court it's pretty fun to play and the characters are still color full as in the main games. I will admit at times the contradictions can be a little to vauge at times and the games can seem a little too forgiving but it's a heck of a lot better than buying a new game that is incomplete were the creators nickle and dime you for the rest of it. hadn't finished it yet, but looking forward to. so far I give it a 9 out of 10

  • Very Happy

Shipped quickly, cartridge is in excellent condition and works perfectly. The graphics are surprisingly good on my 3DS XL, considering the game is intended for a normal sized DS. The soundtrack is also very good. This has quickly become my favorite game in the Ace Attorney series.

  • A Good Addition to the Series

Being a fan to the Ace Attorney series, I haven't had a chance to play the Investigations game as I never picked it up when it first debuted. But I finally got it to see if it was any good, and my expectations were met. There's the assumption that it isn't as good as the Phoenix series, but I personally don't think that's right (haha, get it?). The game play IS different, as you're running around instead of just point and clicking to go places, and since this is a game specifically designed to dive into the life of Edgeworth, and flush out his character, we're not in the courtroom 24/7. Rather, as the title implies, investigating out on the field. However, the game still retains some of the familiar mechanics: press, using evidence to back up your arguments, testimonies, etc. Instead of ...

  • Fun installment to the Ace Attorney series

As an Ace Attorney fan, I got this game as soon as possible after obtaining a Nintendo DS. At the time, my favourite character was Miles Edgeworth, so I was pumped to find out there was a game with him as the star. However, while the overall concept of the game took a different direction from the standard AA games, it had lots of ups and downs and left me with mixed feelings. I think it's fantastic how they gave Edgeworth a more investigative role, but since that's supposed to be Detective Gumshoe's job, it essentially left the poor detective in a role little more than a pet dog following his master around. When Kay Faraday was introduced, I was extremely disappointed, as it seemed as though she was trying way too hard to be another Maya Fey. And Ema Skye already proved that to be a ...
