Quality good but not practical
This case is well made and fits my SX40 fine. However, it does not connect to the camera in any way; it just wraps around it and closes on itself with velcro. So when you open it to use the camera it just falls off. This means that you can't use it easily in the field, i.e., you can't have it on the camera to, say, protect it from the elements if you're planning to take pictures. Every time you take a picture you would have to take it completely off and then put it back on. Traditional cases usually attach to the camera via the tripod mount.This case is well made and fits my SX40 fine. OK for what I paid...
Love the comment about how the camera just Falls Out when case is opened, yo MORON you need to unclip the button tab and put the neck strap in between then snap it closed. I only paid $8 so for that it's worth it but not for over ten because all it does is hold camera, No slot for extra battery.

Perfect fit for PowerShot SX40HS
As expected this is an exact fit for the SX40 and similar cameras. It's strong and durable, soft on the inside. Gives JUST enough room to hold the camera with a ring adapter, UV filter and lens cap on. It's a tight fit but it works.
