    I actually am giving it a 4.5

I think the Shinko 009 Raven Street Sport Touring front tire is what appears to be a very good tire. However, I don't have a bunch of miles on it yet. I thought my Michelin Pilot Power was good, but it began to wear strangely, and didn't instill confidence in the corners. The Shinko handles in a linear and predictable fashion. If I did a one star deduct, it's because I couldn't give it 4.5 stars. As I suspected, it did require a bit more weight to balance than I would have liked. But, once balanced, it doesn't matter. The price was cheap enough that I don't care too much about extreme mileage. If it wears in a few years sufficiently, I will buy another tire. Kind of nice to keep fresh rubber on anyway.

  • Phenomenal tire even it if cost twice as much...

Been riding on Shankos for years...this is probably my 10th (or so) Raven 009 between several bikes over the past few years. With sane "sporty" touring riding on my ZG1400 I regularly get in the range of 20K on the front. That doesn't mean its a "low traction" tire...it hangs with you beyond the limits of the rear tire, wet or dry. Just give it a couple of hundred miles to develop it's full bite and you are all set. I highly recommend it.

  • Want affordably with performance backing?

Then you can't go wrong with Shinko. I live in the mountains where riding on the edge is the norm I put full trust in dragging knee in leaving bits of rubber behind at half or a third of the price of your big name tires.Just give them a try you'll see what I mean.

  • Shinko quality surpasses other tires

Shinko shave come a long way over the years. I’ve been buying them for my dual sport and street bikes for over a decade. They have excellent wear, grip and durability. You can’t beat them for the money.

  • Great Value for the Money on this Tire.

Still early to tell about its performance since weather hasn't allowed much riding this time of year. Tire looks great and motorcycle shop had no trouble mounting and balancing. Tire looks great and the price was right.
