    Elizabeth David takes the reader on a culinary tour through Italy, France, Grease, add her native England, by way of the essays and book reviews, that she wrote for over thirty years for the Sunday newspapers, food journals and woman's magazines. With her tour of France, I will admit that my high school French was a little hard pressed to keep up with her. That little part of the book is the only fault that I found. Reading the numerous book reviews, has sent me on a search of eBay to find some of those authors. What to me was worth the price of this book was her comments on the centenary edition of Isabella Beeton's "Book of Household Management", it really is not the book that the publishers lead one to believe it is. From that review I have stopped looking for that book. There are ...
