It's a greatbwatch, though expensive
I upgraded f on a Vivoactive HR and I definitely like this watch. It's got tons of features and is extremely durable with it's Sapphire crystal (I still bought a hardened glass screen protector just because). It is definitely expensive, and the button operation feels a little less smooth that you might want in a watch at this price. But the screen is huge and easy to read, you get tons of information on the Garmin Connect app, and the GarminIQ Store has tons of great watch faces and apps to let you customize as much as you want.

Awesome watch that needs work
This is by far the best activity watch out there. The battery life is awesome. The Bluetooth connectivity needs some major work. And reading forums online that seems to be a common issue. This is an expensive watch. You are getting some of the best things when you buy the premium sapphire edition such as the sapphire glass and wifi connectivity. But for this much money the smart watch functions need to work all the time. My Fitbit handles smart notifications way better at 1/6 the price. Even though the watch is a little big it is my all time favorite. The watch does so many things that my Garmin VivoActive did not.One of the main features I like is the ease of swapping the watch bands out. All the watch almost anybody needs.
Watch is feature-packed, without anything I really didn't need. And it looks sharp, to boot. Pros: - Accurate GPS & HR. - Very usable interface & button layout. - Highly, higlhly customizable layouts for clock, activities, widgets, apps, etc. - Very rugged watch....will be difficult to stress or damage this thing, even with all the outdoor activities I do. - Battery life. 1-2 weeks of daily use between charges?....Yes, please! Cons: - Heavy; I'm getting used to it, but would love to shave some weight from it. If you don't have it cinched to the right spot on your arm with the right pressure, it's going to flop around. - Wide & tall. It's a good thing it's rugged, as I do bump it into things more than my old (smaller) watch. - Display. I'm whining here, but it could be a bit brighter or have more contrast without backlight (the backlight strength is adjustable, but not the standard display brightness). - Font size: For some secondary data fields, the aplhanumerics can require squnting....wish these were bigger or adjustable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Very cool watch
I have had many Garmin products and I love them all. My last watch which is a Garmin Forerunner 630 needed to be replaced or repaired after after 24/7 use for the last 4+ years and I was ready to upgrade any ways. This watch is just as smart and cool, although I'm not sure if it can record "all" the running metrics that the 630 does. I don't run as much as I did when I purchased the 630 so I don't really care. Great watch!
I have been tied to Fitbit for the past 8 years, however the design of them wasn't all that impressive. So I saw this watch on Ebay, did a lot of research on it and ultimately purchased it. It is so much more solid than my Fitbit Ionic, I am 12 days in to using it and still on the original charge (currently at 24% battery). The functionality, look and feel are all great on this thing. If you run, hike, or adventure, this is for you! A hair big on my 7.25 wrists. Fits longer than say a GShock. If Garmin made the strap bars a bit closer to the case or angled them down a bit it would be perfect. But I still love it! I think all watch makers will start using these quick release straps.
