This was a perfect replacement for an old B & S 5 Hp engine on a garden tiller. All the bolt holes lined up and the pulley aligned well also. The engine started on the 2nd pull and runs smoother and quieter than the old B & S, with more features like a fuel shutoff valve, and low oil shutoff. The only things I could find that could have be improved upon with not much extra cost would be the plastic cooling vanes on the flywheel and a mouse-friendly rewind cover. I had a mouse nest in the rewind cover after only a few days and I could see that mice could easily block the cooling and chew up the plastic cooling vanes.

The motor starts and runs ok but the small fuel line coming from the gas tank broke when starting the very first time. The other choke and fuel valves are very cheaply made as well.

The holes are a tiny bit too close together, but with a little wiggling, force, and tightening the nuts down, it goes right into place. Does not come with a gasket. Works very well to bring noise level down. I bought because a straight pipe was too loud for my neighborhood on my Predator mini bike, and now it sounds like a slightly louder lawn mower at full throttle. Highly recommend!

I have to use a little bottle of gas to put some gas in the air cleaner so it starts quicker, without the choke on? they have a "high altitude" jet for the carb for over 3000' and another jet for over 6000' because the air is thinner at altitude so needs less gas, NOT more. therefore it "spits" out the exhaust pipe as unburned fuel ignites when it gets more air coming out of the exhaust pipe/muffler. 3-4 hour break in on little stand I made to hold it while it does its 3+ hour break in at various speeds after ADDING OIL TO THE MOTOR as it is NOT SHIPPED WITH ANY OIL IN THE MOTOR. I will probably change oil, after 4-5 hour break in, to a synthetic oil of some sort. half a quart will give it 2 oil changes per bottle. as an aside, I have to pour a little gas into the throat of my lawn mower engine to get it to start in 2 pulls too... pretty much since it was new as that little bulb thing didn't do that much to prime the carb like it is supposed to. not much of a hassle to have little RC gas bottle with gas in it to take off air filter, pour a little gas in the carb, put air filter back on, tighten screw to hold air filter on and in 2 pulls it starts. I turn gas valve off to stop flow of gas to carb and let it run down til it starts to "run out of gas" (in the carb) so the ethanol in the gas doesn't do funny things in the aluminum carb as ethanol gas can do to carbs if left in the carbs for long time. StaBil fuel treatment in all the gas that goes in the motor will help with keeping gas from going bad too... soon and plugging carb jetsRead full review

bought as a replacement engine for a 3.5 Briggs flathead engine Install was easy used the Briggs pulley new belt added oil gas and turned gas on removed belt as a precaution turned on switch pulled and it started ran smooth and easy. This is on a 50+ year old tiller that is now Tiller Zilla just a little above idle does everything I needed it to do. Do not have to rent a $75.00 a weekend tiller now have $150.30 total in the whole mess that I now just go get it out of the corner of the storage shed any time I need it.

This Predator 6.5 HP 212CC engine is a perfect cost effective replacement for those old Briggs & Stratton 5 HP engines. These engines are super quiet and super smooth with almost no vibration. I put mine on a garden tiller and it does a fabulous job. The more you run these engine's and break them in the better they perform. I'll be putting one of these on a go cart next. I added oil and gas to this new motor and it started on the second pull. Since then it has always started on the first pull and purrs like a kitten.

An economical replacement for a motor of the same ilk on wood splitting equipment. Starts easily and runs well when new. Only time will demonstrate this motor's endurance, My experience has been less than exemplary with aging Predator motors in the past.

We replaced the motor on our child's go cart. Easy fit. Started right up, and has remained easy to start. Has good power.

This was a direct replacement for the carb on a Predator 212 engine I have it mounted on my log splitter. Removed the old one, installed the new and the engine fired on the second pull. My only negative comment is that the replacement gaskets are much thinner that the originals. However, they seemed to work fine with no leaks.

I bought this engine thinking I could run it on a lawn vac. It works great but I have to run it almost on idle or it's too dang fast for the blower. It shoots grass clippings through the back screens. One good result was that it used very little fuel. It's much quieter than the last motor, which I had to run at half throttle. This thing would be great on a go-cart.
