An alto saxman of the '50s & '60s, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley was known for his exuberant soul-jazz sound and the inspirational effect he had on everyone he touched. In his 2nd project for i.e. Music, Eric Marienthal visits some of Adderley's most famous material - with a '90s approach. This fresh, accessible album (sporting cuts for NAC, urban AC and jazz radio) features Lee Ritenour, Russell Ferrante, Jeff Lorber, Stanley Clarke and Philip Ingram among others!
