    The Seekers have no equal!

This CD has some songs not found on their other CD's.and they are excellent! Especially All Over The World, Five Hundred Miles,& On The Other Side. Judith Durham's voice is incredible, such range & purity. The harmony of the group is what makes them superior to any other group. I play this CD & their others endlessly. I never tire of hearing the songs repeatedly. A couple of the songs were a little disappointing, but overall, I highly recommend this CD!

  • Well worth owning

I had largely forgotten the work of The Seekers as life moved on from the 1960s. Judith, the lead singer, had a great voice on those big hits she did. There are some songs on this collection that don't seem to fit her voice. Further, a couple of their renditions of songs made famous by Bob Dylan or Peter, Paul & Mary, aren't nearly as good as the originals. Judith largely carries the band on her voice; no one else near her quality. The product is well made, great sound quality and selection. Apart from their really big songs in the early to mid 1960s, they rather dropped off the international scene but remained popular Down Under. All in all worthwhile and worth the money spent.

  • Really Great Collection

All my favorites and many that I was not as familiar with some. Great Group Great Sound. On several of the tracks excellent stereo as well. All well recorded and transferred to this collection. Highly recommend to folk music lovers - and to anyone not familiar with the genre -

  • Well worth seeking the Seekers

I'm almost 70 and I never realized who was making all this great music. I thought it was the Mamas and the Papas. However, recently a friend posted on Facebook one of their songs and I started checking into their music and became an instantly belated fan. This CD is wonderful with really great songs, vocals and arrangements. The quality of the CD is excellent. I more than highly recommend this album.

  • Could be better sound quality.

I know these songs were "mastered" in the 1960-70s but some songs sound like they were recorded on a portable cassette player. I gave this CD 4 of 5 stars for that reason. True Seekers fans may be the only persons who buy this CD, and then only a partial list of songs might be familiar. Many of these songs did not make it to the US shores as big hits, while others were not heard at all. This compilation seems to be hastily made, without concern for remastering. I'm sure those tapes are somewhere for them to copy from. All in all I am able to hear the tunes I was interested in, with the convenience of playing on my car CD player. I will be look for another CD version that might have better sound quality for my future purchases.
