Gamers take control of Nintendo's simian superstar and his friends as they try to fend off a group of Viking-like animal invaders in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. These Snowmad warriors have sent a deep chill through DK Island, turning the once tropical paradise into an icy nightmare, and it's up to Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, and Cranky Kong to save the day. Players run, jump, swim, launch themselves from barrels, and occasionally ride Rambi the rhinoceros through a variety of stages set on five islands filled with bananas, coins, and adventure.<br><br>Each sidekick character has a unique skill to help Donkey Kong on his adventure, with Diddy using his barrel jetpack to soar through the air and under water, Dixie's hair serving as a propeller, and Cranky's cane helping the apes bounce over hazardous spikes. Tropical Freeze is the first new Donkey Kong Country title for the Wii U, and it makes use of the system's processing power to offer dynamic levels and a rotating camera, while multiplayer fans can break out their GamePad and enjoy some local co-op action. Gamers can also see how they stack up compared to the rest of the world thanks to online leaderboards.

    If I could give this seller more than 5 stars, I would! I first asked if they were open to offers and they respectfully declined. I reached again out a few days later to ask if they could drop the price by just 51 cents to under $100, and they agreed! They also sent pictures of the packaging, messaged me when it was shipped, and even included a personal thank-you note and some stickers! The book was also in better condition than described. I would say it's Very Good, not just Good.

    One of the Wii U greats!

    Super fun game, good for the whole family. Really challenging at times, with a lot of fast paced and gorgeously crafted levels. Great music and characters. If you don’t have the Nintendo Switch or aren’t interested in paying full price for the Switch port of this game, from my research, there’s very little difference except possibly the load times on the Wii U are a bit more. But you can save a lot of $$ buying it on the system it was first designed for and use the cash to save up for exclusive Switch titles when they come out, rather than ports of games like Tropical Freeze which is already great on the Wii U.

    May be a bit hard for little kids

    I love playing games with my 5 YO. We finished Kirby Dreamland, and Mario 3D world. This is a bit harder than those games but kiddo doesn't mind. She likes a challenge.
