Just what I needed
I was given a nice two drawer filing cabinet recently. It even came with hanging file folders, the only problem was no frame to hang them on. I ordered this Sparco frame because it was cheaper than the other frames. I like it because of it simple design and the fact that it is adjustable. I won't lie, during assembly and adjustments, I got frustrated. It was a little difficult cutting the frame down to the right size to fit my cabinet. I had to use the pliers to bend the metal enough to snap off the unwanted bits. It does fit in the drawer nicely and the hanging folders move easily on the frame. These are for hanging file folders with 5~10 sheets of paper in each, not 5 pound books!
These have worked well for me. Most of the negative reviews I read were from people not knowing what they are for, and how to fit them to the file cabinet drawer. The horizontal (flat piece) has indentations that make 'snapping' it to length easy. Use the right tools - a pair of heavy pliers, adjustable wrenches etc... Measure twice and cut once! Don't expect to hang 50 pound of stuff on them.
