    This is by far the most horrible pump possible. It has so many parts and pieces and the most ridiculous unclear useless instructions. Im so frustrated after 5 minutes of trying to sort thru this hot mess I am ready to throw it out and head to Walmart. Why would anyone make such a difficult pump and not put it together at the factory, It keeps getting better and better with Chinese manufactured junk. More wasted money. No time to return. I am so wore out with this game. HORRIBLE!

    very quiet and works well

    I purchased this unit and I find its a good value. I should have gotten the unit with the filter on top of the motor , but I purchased on the spur of the moment. I called to see if it was a plug and play (on the intex) pool , they said yes, but it was not . I had to order a adapter for the filter(bottom) on the side of the pool to connect the hose. I was not happy with that but overall its a learning experience. I had to watch a program on the internet to find out what to do and what to order to make it work. Overall its all OK

    Could be improved

    Filter came with all necessary parts and was easy to assemble and will fit 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 hoses. It filtered and cleaned the pool in a reasonable time. However there is no pump to waste setting so you have to vacuum on filter setting. As a result of this quite a bit of the dead algae from the bottom gets re-introduced back into the pool and needs to settle back out. After going through this two times I had to unhook it,hook up the intex cartridge filter, and pump the water onto the ground to remove all the settled algae and dirt. The filter could be greatly improved by adding a waste position to the valve.

    Beware of Made in China, Pool pumps. Poor workmanship

    This was advertised as Intex compatible. Not with my Intex. My intake and discharge hoses did not fit. After spending about $90 in connections and making washers, it got it connected so it is usable. There are numerous leaks (drips) in most fittings, besides the fittings I had to jury rig. Wish I had checked it out more online before I purchased. I didn't go with an Intex pump because most of the ads on ebay were for used Intex pumps used for parts only. It does work okay. Best news is I can vacuum my pool and dont have to get out to change from filter to waste and back again. Oh and the instruction sheet is basically a joke. Doesnt help at all.

    Small but mighty

    I bought this filter to replace a bad cartridge type filter. Not expecting a whole lot due to price. But was very surprised at the workings of this little filter. It works great much better that the filter I was using. For a small pool this thing works great.

    Best Pool Pump/Filter for Any Pool

    This is my first experience with a sand filter/pump and I absolutely love this thing. It is so much lower maintenance than a regular cartridge filter, and it works so good. My pool is crystal clear. This is my first year taking care of our back yard pool all on my own, and I really didnt have any idea what I was doing. So I just started reading everything I could on back yard pool maintenance and I came a cross this sand filter and did some research and even asked a couple friends and after all the things I read and heard I decided to spend the extra money and try one out. Best decision Ive ever made. This filter has made maintaining my back yard pool a breeze. I would highly recommend this sand filter/pump to anyone who wants to spend their summer enjoying the pool, not working on ...
